Looking Forward to a Weekend Up North!

Well, I am supposed to be packing for our trip north... But I am playing with pictures... Shocking, I know!  Here is one from a few weeks back, I took my niece and nephew to see Steppin' In It at the Green Door in Lansing.  What fun we had!  We'll be back at the Green Door to enjoy the music on June 9... We'd love to see you there!

Look at these little gems!

Last week, I had the awesome opportunity to meet with a client who was interested in buying an art print.  In preparation for our meeting, I sat down to go through ALL of my files (Which is a mind boggling number of pictures!) and create a slide show of images that I thought she may be interested in.  It was so much fun opening up those long closed folders to discover all the little photo gems hidden inside... It felt a bit like reading an old journal, only without the squeamish, "I'm so glad I'm past that stage" feeling!  I thought I would share a few of the treasures I found.  Enjoy!

Our first wedding of the season...

Wow!  I am still speechless... This wedding at Meadow Brook Hall was by far the most elegant wedding we have ever shot!  From the flowers by Emerald City Designs to the seven course meal to the dessert table... It was simply over the top!  And we were so honored to be able to capture the magic on film.  Here are just the first few photos that I have edited, there will be more to come.

Welcome To The World, Alex!

We had a great shoot today with the Drury Family!  I was excited to be there to celebrate his one week birthday.  Here are a few of my favorites from the afternoon.  While I was in Laingsburg, I stopped by to visit with the Kribs Family.  Owen is getting so big and Makayla lost her first tooth! I am already starting to envision the shots for their spring photo shoot.  Stay tuned...

Welcome

Thanks for finding your way here, to the Wings & Roots Blog! As always, we've been keeping busy raising our kids and photographing others'. We are looking forward to the community viewing of The Business Of Being Born this weekend. The viewing is being sponsored by the Greenhouse Birth Center and should be a great way to inform the Mid-Michigan community about the options that birthing mothers should have. Please check out the Greenhouse Birth Center site for further details.
Until Later,
Karrie & Bill
